Cassandra upon her mocking throne

Darkness enveloping…

I look to the corner stone,

Waves of discarded sunflowers

The wind keeps bellowing ahead.

Rainbow of sins urging me…

A kiss upon Mozart’s tune,

Paranoia creeps a forlorn note…

Hush! A masterpiece is created.

The blank seeks a verse,

Glimpses of open fences…

Hushed lips cry for stories…

Kafka lies perched afar.

Wooden bells chime away,

Shadows of lovers from paradise lost,

Wet leaves burn my hopes…

Metaphors turning into reality.

Thunderous applause welcoming…

French aromas encircle me,

Upon the crowd’s noisy skin,

I see the solitary wanderer.

Facades of soiled barriers,

Ghosts- unknown & then some,

The cigarette fades slow,

But, scar to commensurate.

The incision stares open yet again,

Double-edged temptations ruin my day,

Ice melts through my fingers…

Cobwebs of deceit surround me.

Snide whispers…

Spineless sockets…

Chinese rumours upon my palm,

Whitewashed walls all around.

Something old, borrowed and blue-

Pushed past the tiny glass door,

Resistance methods aplenty…

Waves of insomnia infiltrated.

Corpses of dilemmas,

Antelopes flying into the darkness…

The park bench sits lonesome

Shiny brooches rendered useless..

Lets away, you and I,

Just in time for the morning mist

Lets away, you and I,

Into the waves of sunsets afar.

Sweet raindrops falling…

The power to erase…

Don’t let the nectar slip away,

You’ll miss it soon enough.

Vultures abate my vessels,

Panthers holding guard to the ghost-cake,

Mortal values upon my filer,

Beads of synonyms choke the swan.

Memorabilia dumped afar…

No clues to traceable paths…

Mystique simplifies…

Amidst the glory of deception.
