Gravity

The lights were dimmed now,
The stage was empty, she was alone.
Throwing her shoes to the corner,
She tip toed to the centre of the stage.

Music filled the room,
Words moving in her veins,
She raised her hands and danced,
She defied gravity in her thoughts.

Not a soul looked at her,
Not a soul could look at her,
Dancing on the edge of the wall,
Floating with the chill of the breeze.

The city lights looked the same,
The society now beneath her,
The lust of love breathing in her,
She looked up at the stars.

Sealing her place amongst them,
She took a step and flew away,
Her mind plummeting head first,
Her lips moving to the song.

Love for another moment,
Love for another experience,
Love for another lust,
Love to prove gravity wrong,
Greed, my only Sin...
